Long term functions are calculations that are done once for each day. These daily values can be used in long term reports presenting results for longer periods, i.e., one month, one year or even longer. Each daily value is given a time from to, meaning they can be calculated only in between that time span. You can have several daily calculations with different sensors, time and limits. It's also possible to count number of exceedances (days) above a given limit value during a given period in the Report designer.

Once you press the Save button, the calculations will begin from this day and on. If you set the start time earlier than today, the calculations are done from that given time if it's not already calculated. If you have already calculated, it will only recalculate the chosen date.
