The NorConnect main working environment is as shown in the video linked above. A brief overview is given in this video and more details follows later in separate chapters.
This "startup user interface" is made up of:
The PC destination directory and sub-folders, "file work-space" for short..
This is normally My Measurements and is shown in the middle part of the screen while sub-folders are shown on the left-hand side. We call this the "file work-space" since this is where you will work with the downloaded measurement files. More details on the associated functions like browsing, sort- and filtering etc. to follow.
PS! The default location storage location is C:\Users\<user name>Documents\My Measurements
The connected instrument.
The instrument(s) connected and the content of the on-board memory is shown at the right hand side of the screen. The selected mode controls which type of files are shown in the workspace.
The menu bar.
Located on top with most used functions laid out as buttons for your convenience. There are also tabs with more detailed settings and an Application button for initial preferences.. and where you find the Online Help
PS! When you start NorConnect the screen shown will be as the program was left when last used. Pls. note that with the "mode dependent" functionality we use this may have the effect that the instrument- as well as the PC directory shows no files, or you cannot find the files you are looking for because you are not in the right mode! See also Connected instrument, but no files shown.. why is that?
The file browser on the left shows all folders independent of mode!
